With over 17 years of experience in the closet and storage cabinetry industry, Melissa is one of Closet Envy’s lead designers—and a true expert in creating beautifully functional spaces. She combines her background in sales with a degree in Interior Design from Sheridan College, where she graduated with honours from the rigorous four-year program.
Melissa has always had a passion for cabinetry and jumped straight into the industry after college. After working for three leading franchise models, she found the perfect fit at Closet Envy—an independent dealer with one mission: making closets great. At Closet Envy, thoughtful design and exceptional service take precedence over sales figures. Melissa strongly believes that working with integrity speaks louder than any sales pitch—and consistently leads to empowering, lasting results.
“Life’s too short to be messy!” – Melissa Jane
She especially loves whole-home transformations and marquee projects like large dressing rooms, approaching each design as if it were for her own home. What she values most—besides creating dream spaces—is Closet Envy’s incredible team culture.
“No company has the same working environment that we do. We all look out for each other, and everyone here is just as passionate as the designer.”
Melissa is a proud Registered Storage Designer™ with the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals—a distinction that recognizes her expertise, dedication, and commitment to the highest industry standards. She is also a past Director of Education for the Association (and is still an active member of the Education Committee), where she worked closely with her peers to refresh the accreditation process for Registered, Certified, and Master Storage Designer certifications.
Her goal? To ensure well-organized, expertly designed spaces are delivered to your home—no matter who you choose. Establishing high standards across the industry is a responsibility she takes seriously.
When she’s not designing, Melissa is with her two little Maltese pups, who rule the house, keep her on her toes, and fill her heart.
Nicola is the warm voice behind Closet Envy and the first point of contact when you call. Her British charm sets the tone for your Closet Envy experience, making you feel welcomed from the moment you reach out. As a busy mom of two, she truly understands how important it is to have an organized home, which is why she’s so passionate about helping our clients from the start of their journey.
With a background in closet and kitchen planning, Nicola brings a wealth of experience to her role, from scheduling consultations to managing invoices and everything in between. She’s the one who keeps things organized, calm, and on track, ensuring your project goes smoothly.
When she’s not zipping around town in her Red Mini Cooper with Union Jack mirrors (naturally!), Nicola enjoys unwinding at home with her husband and two sons—preferably with a good cup of tea in hand. She also makes time to visit the UK as often as possible to catch up with family and friends back home.
Chilise Brimley has been a valued member of the Closet Envy team for over four years, bringing her passion for Interior Design and organizational solutions to every project. After earning her diploma in Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute, Chilise dove headfirst into the world of design, driven by her desire to transform spaces into beautiful, functional areas that truly work for the people who use them.
As a busy mom of two young boys, Chilise understands firsthand the challenges of maintaining an organized home. She knows how important it is to have spaces that are not only stylish but also efficient and practical—especially in a world where our homes are used more than ever. She truly believes that a well-organized home can make life easier and more enjoyable.
Her experience as a mother allows her to relate to clients who are balancing the demands of family, work, and daily life, and she’s especially passionate about creating spaces that simplify their routines. Chilise approaches each project with a deep understanding of how to balance aesthetics with functionality to meet the unique needs of every client.
Chilise’s creativity, attention to detail, and practical mindset make her an essential part of the Closet Envy team, and she’s proud to help clients design organized, beautiful spaces that make life just a little bit easier.
Outside of work, Chilise’s bubbly and charming personality shines through as she enjoys spending quality time with her kids, staying active at the gym, and embracing the little moments of family life.
David has been designing custom storage solutions since 2011, bringing a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-first mindset to every project. He loves working with homeowners, truly listening to their needs, and creating designs that are both beautiful and highly functional.
One of his most memorable projects was a 150-year-old home in Carlisle, where he had to work around sloping floors and other quirks of an older home to create a seamless, modern storage solution. It was a challenge—but one he tackled head-on, and the client was thrilled with the results.
David is also our go-to designer when it comes to transforming garages into organized, functional spaces. Whether it’s custom cabinets, optimized storage, or sleek organization systems, his expertise makes him an unofficial garage guru—though, of course, our whole team is skilled at creating amazing garages too!
“There isn’t a problem David can’t solve,” is something we often say around here. His ability to understand exactly what a customer wants—and translate that into a perfectly tailored design—sets him apart.
“I love meeting new people every day and creating solutions for people’s problems.” – David
Before diving into the storage industry, David spent 17 years in hospitality, where he mastered the art of customer service. This background gives him a unique ability to connect with clients, anticipate their needs, and create spaces that truly work for them.
David is a Registered Storage Designer™ with the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals, a distinction that recognizes his expertise, commitment to excellence, and industry leadership—something he’s incredibly proud of.
Outside of work, David finds joy in kayaking, and spending time in nature. He’s also a proud father of two grown kids, and when he’s not designing dream spaces or working on a garage transformation, you’ll likely find him enjoying the great outdoors or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.
Greg is the backbone of Closet Envy’s installation team, overseeing multiple crews each day to ensure every project runs smoothly. From coordinating schedules to making sure each team has exactly what they need, he’s the guy who keeps everything on track—and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, personally handling final finishing touches to make sure every job meets Closet Envy’s high standards.
With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Greg’s history with Closet Envy goes all the way back to the beginning. He and Shaun first worked together at another closet company before Shaun took the leap to start his own business. Greg soon joined him, helping grow Closet Envy from a small operation into the thriving company it is today.
Beyond closets, Greg has a deep love for music and has been a fixture in the Burlington music scene for years. He’s toured the world as a guitarist and vocalist, and when he’s not fine-tuning storage spaces, you might find him fine-tuning a setlist. In his free time, he has a rather unique hobby—arrowhead hunting, which takes him all over Ontario in search of hidden treasures from the past.
Karla first joined Closet Envy as part of our amazing installation team, where her natural ability to connect with customers quickly stood out. She soon found her niche as the essential link between our Design and Operations teams, keeping projects on track and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Her background in Education gave her meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and top-notch communication—qualities that both our team and our clients rely on every day. On top of that, she holds a certificate in enhanced general carpentry, giving her a solid grasp of technical construction elements. Having worked hands-on in the field, she can spot potential challenges before they arise and find proactive solutions.
Karla wears many hats around the office, and somehow, she makes it all look easy. She handles job scheduling, supplier coordination, client support, business development, and even streamlining our systems to make working with Closet Envy as seamless as possible. Her dedication to customer satisfaction and drive to be the best at everything she does is part of what makes Closet Envy the leading custom closet and storage company in Southern Ontario. Gooooooo Karla!
She loves her work, but outside of Closet Envy, you’ll find her living by the beach in Niagara, hiking the escarpment, tackling DIY and craft projects with her family, or lost in a pile of books (which she will definitely, most certainly read before buying more… probably).

A true dog lover, Shaun has rescued and provided loving homes for multiple pups over the years. His two rescue dogs are often by his side at the shop, keeping him company as he brings dream spaces to life.
When he’s not designing, building, or problem-solving, you’ll find Shaun officiating weddings—something he’s been passionate about for years. He has performed many beautiful ceremonies for couples in Burlington and surrounding cities.
Shaun also believes in giving back to the community. He proudly supports Habitat for Humanity, donating custom closets to homes built by the organization.
